This article explains how to use the Company Profile widget in the Cognism Browser Extension.
You can view company details, manage assignments, check CRM presence, and export company or contact data.
By using the widget, you can manage accounts, check CRM presence, and export data without leaving your workflow.
Prerequisites
- You have installed the Cognism Browser Extension.
- You are viewing a company website or LinkedIn company page.
- Your CRM (for example, Salesforce) is connected, if applicable.
Open the Company Profile
To access company data:
- Navigate to a company’s LinkedIn page or website.
- Open the Cognism Browser Extension.
- Select the Company tab
The Company Profile widget will load company-level data.
Use the Company Overview tab
The Company Overview tab gives you a summary of the account and assignment status.
Manage company assignments
You can:
- See whether the company is assigned to you.
- Select Drop to remove the assignment.
- Select Claim to assign the company to yourself (if unassigned).
Assignment visibility depends on your team settings.
Check CRM presence
You can see whether the company already exists in your connected CRM (for example, Salesforce).
Use this to avoid creating duplicate records.
View key company data
The overview displays:
- Headcount
- Revenue
- Headquarters location
- Research by Cognism AI
- Signals and intent topics
- Top five recommended contacts
Export company or contact data
From the Company Overview tab, you can:
- Export the company to your CRM
- Export top five recommended contacts
Search and filter employees
Select the Employees tab within the Company Profile to view contacts at the company.
Search employees by name
Use the search bar to find a specific employee by name.
Apply filters
By selecting the funnel icon to the left of the search bar, you can filter employees by:
- Job title
- Location
- Persona
You can also filter by available contact data:
- Mobile numbers
- Direct dials
- Email addresses
These filters apply using OR logic.
This means a contact may have a mobile number, a direct dial, or an email address, but not necessarily all three.
Sort results
Use the arrow controls to sort employees in ascending or descending order.
Export employees or add to a list
If no filters are applied, employees are displayed in batches of 25.
Use the pagination arrows at the bottom of the list to move between pages.
You can:
- Export selected employees
- Export the full employee list
Exports are sent to your connected CRM.
- You can also add contacts to a new or preexisting list.
Expected results
When using the Company Profile widget, you can:
- Review account-level information without leaving the browser
- Manage company assignments
- Identify relevant contacts
- Export accurate data to your CRM
