How to Install the Cognism Chrome Extension

Before you start

Before installing the extension, make sure:

• You are using the Google Chrome browser
• You have a Cognism account
• You have permission to install browser extensions on your device

Installing the Cognism extension from the Chrome Web Store

1. Open the Google Chrome browser
2. Go to the Chrome Web Store
3. Search for Cognism – Sales Intelligence Extension
4. Select the Cognism – Sales Intelligence Extension from the results
5. Click Add to Chrome
6. In the confirmation dialog, click Add extension

Chrome automatically downloads and installs the extension.

Pinning the Cognism extension to your browser toolbar

Pinning the extension makes it easier to access while you browse.

1. Click the Extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
2. Find Cognism in the list.
3. Click the Pin icon next to Cognism.

The Cognism icon now appears in your browser toolbar.

Install the Cognism extension in Microsoft Edge

You can install the Cognism – Sales Intelligence Extension in Microsoft Edge even though it is available through the Chrome Web Store. Microsoft Edge supports Chrome-compatible browser extensions.

To install the extension in Microsoft Edge:

1. Open Microsoft Edge.
2. Go to the Chrome Web Store.
3. Search for Cognism – Sales Intelligence Extension.
4. Select Get.
5. When the confirmation window appears, click Add extension.

Note: If this is your first time installing a Chrome extension in Microsoft Edge, you may first be prompted to Allow extensions from other stores. Select Allow, then continue with the installation.

After the installation is complete, the Cognism – Sales Intelligence Extension will appear in the Microsoft Edge extensions menu. To keep it visible in your browser toolbar, click the Extensions icon and select the Pin icon next to the Cognism extension.

Signing in to the Cognism extension

1. Click the Cognism icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Enter your Cognism login details.
3. Click Sign in.

Once signed in, the extension connects to your Cognism account and Sales Companion.

How to verify the Cognism installation

To confirm the Cognism Chrome Extension is installed correctly:

1. Open LinkedIn in your browser.
2. Go to a company or contact profile.
3. Click the Cognism icon if the extension does not open automatically.

If installed correctly, the extension displays available company and contact data.
