Using the Cognism Browser Extension over Outreach: view contact data, enrich records, and update prospects without leaving Outreach.
This article explains how to use the Cognism Browser Extension in Outreach to view contact data and enrich records while working in your sales engagement platform.
Before you start
Make sure that:
- The Cognism Chrome Extension is installed and pinned to your browser
- You are logged in to the extension
- You have access to Outreach
- Enable Everywhere is turned on in the extension settings
The extension only appears in Outreach when Enable Everywhere is enabled.
Opening the Cognism extension in Outreach
- Open Outreach in Chrome browser
- Go to a supported Outreach record, such as a prospect or account
- Click the Cognism pullout tag on the right side of your screen
The extension opens alongside the Outreach page.
Viewing contact data
When the extension opens on an Outreach record, it displays available Cognism contact data.
This can include:
- Email addresses
- Mobile phone numbers
- Job title
- Previous work experiences
- Company information
The data shown depends on availability and the ability to match from the data presented in Outreach.
Enriching Outreach records with Cognism
You can use the extension to enrich existing Outreach records with Cognism data.
- Open a prospect or account in Outreach.
- Open the Cognism Chrome Extension.
- Review the available data.
- Select Export to update the Outreach record.
Expected results
When used in Outreach, the Cognism Chrome Extension displays relevant contact and company data directly alongside your records. You can enrich prospects, request verified data, and reduce the need to switch between tools.
