Using the Cognism Browser Extension over Sales Navigator: view contact and company data, and export leads without leaving Sales Nav.
This guide shows how to access contact and company data directly within Sales Navigator. With the Cognism extension for Sales Navigator, you can review key insights, identify the right prospects, and export leads to your CRM without switching between tools.
Before you start
Make sure that:
- The Cognism Chrome Extension is installed and pinned to your browser
- You are logged in to the extension
- You have access to LinkedIn Sales Navigator
Opening the extension on Sales Navigator
- Open LinkedIn Sales Navigator in Google Chrome
- Go to a lead profile or account page
- If Auto-open extension is enabled, the Cognism panel opens automatically
- If it does not open, click the Cognism icon in your browser toolbar
The extension opens alongside the Sales Navigator page.
Viewing lead data
When you open a Sales Navigator lead profile, the extension displays available contact information.
This can include:
- Email addresses
- Mobile phone numbers
- Job title and seniority
- Location and company details
If some fields are unavailable, the Cognism extension shows which data is missing.
Viewing account data
When you open a Sales Navigator account page, the Cognism extension displays company-level information.
This can include:
- Company size and industry
- Headquarters location
- Revenue range
- Technologies used by the company
You can use this information to determine whether an account meets your target criteria.
Exporting leads and accounts
You can export leads and accounts directly from Sales Navigator using Cognism.
- Open a lead or account page.
- Open the Cognism Chrome Extension
- Select Export
- Choose the relevant CRM fields if prompted
Exports sync with your CRM through the Cognism App.
Expected results
