How to Install the Cognism Chrome Extension

Before you start

Before installing the extension, make sure:

• You are using the Google Chrome browser
• You have a Cognism account
• You have permission to install browser extensions on your device

Installing the Cognism extension from the Chrome Web Store

1. Open the Google Chrome browser
2. Go to the Chrome Web Store
3. Search for Cognism Chrome Extension
4. Select the Cognism Chrome Extension from the results
5. Click Add to Chrome
6. In the confirmation dialog, click Add extension

Chrome automatically downloads and installs the extension.

Pinning the Cognism extension to your browser toolbar

Pinning the extension makes it easier to access while you browse.

1. Click the Extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
2. Find Cognism in the list.
3. Click the Pin icon next to Cognism.

The Cognism icon now appears in your browser toolbar.

Signing in to the Cognism extension

1. Click the Cognism icon in your browser toolbar.
2. Enter your Cognism login details.
3. Click Sign in.

Once signed in, the extension connects to your Cognism account and Sales Companion.

How to verify the Cognism installation

To confirm the Cognism Chrome Extension is installed correctly:

1. Open LinkedIn in your browser.
2. Go to a company or contact profile.
3. Click the Cognism icon if the extension does not open automatically.

If installed correctly, the extension displays available company and contact data.

Expected results
