How to Use Contact Data Quality Filters in Your Search

This article explains how to use Contact Data Quality filters to return contacts with high-quality, verified data.

You can use these filters to include only contacts with:

• A verified mobile number 
• Specific phone number types 
• An email address (including verified emails only) 

Apply Contact Data Quality filters

To apply these filters:

1. Open Search.
2. Expand Contact Data Quality in the filters panel. 

You will see the following filter options:

• Verified mobile numbers only 
• Phone Numbers 
• Emails 

Use the checkboxes to select or clear each option. This updates your search results based on the data you want to include.

For Phone Numbers, you can:

• Select all phone number types at once 
• Select specific types individually 

Filter by verified mobile numbers

Verified mobile numbers are manually validated to confirm accuracy.

This helps you prioritise contacts with a higher likelihood of connecting by phone.

In the platform, verified mobile numbers are marked with:

• A diamond icon next to the mobile number 
• A visual indicator on the contact profile 

Select Verified mobile numbers only to include only contacts with a verified mobile number.

Filter by phone number type

Use Phone Numbers to include only contacts with a phone number.

You can then select one or more number types:

• Mobile 
• Direct 
• Office 
• HQ 

Select the options that match your outreach strategy.

For example:

• Select Mobile for direct outreach 
• Select Office or HQ for switchboard-based contact strategies 

Filter by email address

Use Emails to include only contacts with an email address.

You can also select the option to include verified emails only.

What is a verified email?

A verified email is validated as high quality using Cognism’s proprietary email verification engine.

Multiple automated and manual quality checks are applied in addition to standard verification methods.

Verified emails have an estimated deliverability rate of over 93%.

Use this option when email deliverability is critical to your campaign performance.

Expected results

After applying Contact Data Quality filters, your search results will:

• Include only contacts that match your selected data criteria 
• Exclude contacts without the required phone or email data 
• Reflect any combination of verified mobile, phone type, or verified email settings 

If your results are limited, review your filter selections and adjust as needed.
