Use Contact views to control which contacts appear in your search results.
The available views are:
- All Contacts
- Net New
- Revealed
Each view works with your existing search filters to help you focus on the contacts you want to see.
Understand contact views
All Contacts
The All Contacts view displays every contact that matches your current search filters.
Use this view to search your entire available contact database.
Net New
The Net New view displays contacts that have not yet been revealed by anyone in your Cognism account.
A contact is no longer considered Net New if anyone in your organisation has:
- Revealed the contact.
- Exported the contact.
- Added the contact to a list.
- Revealed the contact using the Sales Companion Chrome Extension.
Use this view to find new prospects that your organisation has not previously accessed.

Revealed
The Revealed view displays contacts that have already been revealed by your Cognism account.
Use this view to:
- Revisit previously revealed contacts.
- Continue working with existing prospects.
- Export previously revealed contacts.
- Build lists from revealed contacts.
Viewing previously revealed contacts does not consume additional credits.
Switch between contact views
To change the contacts displayed in Search:
- Open Search.
- Select All Contacts, Net New or Revealed.
- Apply or update your search filters as required.
The selected view is applied together with your current search filters.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between All Contacts and Net New?
All Contacts displays every contact that matches your search filters.
Net New displays only contacts that have not yet been revealed by anyone in your Cognism account.
What's the difference between Net New and Revealed?
Net New contains contacts that have not yet been revealed.
Revealed contains contacts that have already been revealed.
Does switching contact views consume credits?
No. Switching between All Contacts, Net New and Revealed does not consume credits.
Credits are only consumed when you reveal or export eligible unrevealed contacts.
Can I use search filters with contact views?
Yes. All contact views work together with your existing search filters.
