You can match the state field from Cognism to what is configured in your CRM. This can be configured for Leads, Contacts and Accounts by the Cognism Admin. When exporting from Cognism to your CRM, the state field will be mapped according to your configured picklist.
Setting up the State field
- Click your user avatar at the top-right and navigate to Integrations.
- Click Configure on your integrated CRM.
- Click Field Mappings > Lead, Contact or Account. These pages allow you to configure the fields mappings for Leads, Contacts and Accounts.
- From Cognism's side, by default you have mapped State on lead and contact, and Company HQ State on Account. This maps to your picklist State field.
- In line with the filed you will see an Advanced button appear in the Rules column.
- Click Advanced and choose states to map from Cognism to the values in your CRM.
- Click Add to map to additional states.
- Click Save.
Note: For Salesforce you only need to Save the mapping in the pop up. For all other CRMs, be sure to double Save > click Save once in the pop up and then click Save in the bottom right corner.
If you map a state, be sure to map the country as well.
If you don't map a state value, it will be exported without a value.
