Use Net New CRM Enrichment to find new contacts at accounts in your CRM that match your targeting criteria.
You can choose the accounts and personas you want to target, specify the contact details you need, and add the new contacts to your CRM. You can run an enrichment once or schedule it to run daily or weekly.
Before you start
You need an existing persona to use for contact targeting. You can't create a new persona as part of the enrichment workflow.
Start a Net New CRM Enrichment job
- Go to CRM Enrichment.
- Select Prospecting Workflow.
- Define the accounts you want to find new contacts at using the available account filters.
As you build your filters, you can see the number of matching accounts.
- Select the persona you want to use to find relevant contacts.
- Choose the contact details you want to add to your CRM. You can select email, mobile, or both.
- Set the maximum number of new contacts to add to each account.
- Choose how you want the enrichment to run:
- Once to run it one time.
- Review the Workflow Preview.
The preview summarises what the workflow will do and shows the maximum number of credits the first run can use.
- Save the workflow.
The workflow searches for contacts that match your selected persona at the accounts that meet your criteria. Contacts that aren't already in your CRM can then be added as new CRM records.
See how it works in this Storylane:
Understand account targeting
Your account filters determine which CRM accounts the workflow searches.
As you add or change filters, the matching account count updates. This shows the size of the audience that your workflow will target.
The workflow then looks for contacts at those accounts that match your selected persona and contact requirements.
Choose which contacts to add
Select an existing persona to control which contacts the workflow looks for.
You can also specify whether the contacts need an email address, mobile number, or both. Set the maximum number of new contacts that can be added to each account.
The workflow is designed to find net-new contacts, so it does not simply enrich contacts that already exist in your CRM. It identifies relevant contacts that aren't already present and adds them to the CRM.
Understand the Workflow Preview
Before you save the workflow, the Workflow Preview shows what it will do and the maximum number of credits the first run can use.
For a one-off workflow, the maximum credit usage is based on the number of matching accounts and the maximum number of contacts requested per account. This is a hard ceiling because the workflow runs only once.
For a scheduled workflow, the first run works in the same way. It checks every account that currently matches your filters, so the first-run maximum is shown in the preview.
Review your enrichment results
After the workflow runs, you can review the contacts that were added.
The results view shows:
- The total number of accounts scanned.
- The number of accounts where at least one contact was added.
- The total number of contacts added.
- A breakdown of contacts with an email address and contacts with a mobile number.
Results are grouped by account. You can search for an account by name and expand an account to see the individual contacts that were added.
For each contact, you can see their name, job title, email address and mobile number, and open their CRM record directly.
If no matching contacts are found
If the workflow doesn't find any matching contacts, the workflow completes and you receive a notification.
You can then review your targeting criteria and consider broadening them to find more contacts.
What happens to existing contacts?
Net New CRM Enrichment is intended to add contacts that aren't already in your CRM.
The workflow detects existing CRM contacts to avoid creating them again. The product specification notes that existing records can be skipped or updated according to user preference, but it doesn't specify where this preference is configured.
Next steps
After your enrichment runs, review the contacts added to your CRM and open their CRM records to take action.
If the workflow doesn't return the contacts you need, review your account filters, persona and contact requirements before running it again.
