How to Integrate Cognism with HubSpot

Export records from Cognism to HubSpot

This article explains how to set up and use the HubSpot integration to export records from Cognism to HubSpot.

The integration is admin-led. An admin must enable the integration and configure field mappings before other users can log in and use it.

What the HubSpot integration supports

Once enabled, the HubSpot integration allows:

• Exporting contacts from Cognism to HubSpot  
• Consistent exports based on admin-defined field mappings

Prerequisites

Before you start, make sure:

• You are an admin in Cognism (for initial setup)  
• HubSpot permissions required for the integration are enabled

Enable the HubSpot integration (admin)

Only admin users can enable and configure the integration. To complete setup, the admin must log in to HubSpot to review and configure field mappings.

1. Go to Integrations 
2. Find Hubspot > Select Connect Integration.  
3. Selecting Connect Integration opens a new browser tab where you can manage your HubSpot configuration. Once complete, you can close the tab.

1. Confirm HubSpot Permissions

1. Log in to Hubspot. You are redirected to the HubSpot login page. 

1. Select the HubSpot account you want to connect to Cognism

If you are already logged in to HubSpot in your browser, you are redirected straight to the account selection page.

After successful authentication, you are redirected back to the Cognism web application. A confirmation message indicates that the connection was successful.

Troubleshoot connection issues

If the HubSpot connection fails, it is usually due to missing permissions.

Make sure the following permissions are enabled in HubSpot:

• App Marketplace Access 
• Edit Properties
• View Contacts & Companies  
• Edit Contacts & Companies

Log in to the HubSpot integration (users)

Once an admin has enabled and configured the integration, other users can log in and use it.

Connect your HubSpot account

1. Open Settings in the side navigation.  

1. Go to Integrations > HubSpot > Log in.  
2. HubSpot opens in a new window > Sign in to HubSpot > select your account.

You return to Cognism. You can now export records to HubSpot.

Expected Results

After setup:

• Admins can control access and field mappings 
• Users can export records from Cognism to HubSpot 
• Records sync using the configured mappings
