This article explains how to export contacts from Cognism to HubSpot and how to view their sync status.
By using different export methods and reviewing CRM indicators, you can manage your data more effectively and keep your records up to date.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:
- Your HubSpot integration is connected
- Bi-directional sync (data import) is enabled
If these are not set up, you will not be able to export contacts to HubSpot.
Export from a list
Use this method to export multiple contacts from a saved list.
- Go to Lists in the left-hand navigation panel.
- Click the name of the list you want to export from.
- Select the contacts you want to export.
- Click Export selection.
- Click Export.
- Select HubSpot.
- Review and select the data you wish to export, then click export to action.
The selected contacts will export to your connected HubSpot account.
Export from the Cognism Chrome extension
Use this method when viewing a contact profile in your browser.
- Open the Cognism Chrome extension on a contact profile.
- Click Export in the top left.
- Select HubSpot.
- Review and select the data you wish to export, then click export to action.
The contact will export directly to HubSpot.
Export from search results or profile view in the platform
Export from search results
- Select the contact or contacts you want to export.
- Click Export.
- Select HubSpot.
- Review and select the data you wish to export, then click export to action.
- Click Export.
Export from an individual contact profile
- Open the contact profile.
- Click Export in the top right.
- Select HubSpot from the dropdown.
4. Review and select the data you wish to export, then click export to action.
The contact will export to your connected HubSpot account.
View CRM status in search
If your HubSpot integration is active, you can see whether a contact already exists in your HubSpot CRM.
In search results
- Hover over the HubSpot icon to view the contact’s CRM status.
- If the contact exists in HubSpot, a hyperlink will appear.
- Click the hyperlink to open the contact or associated company in HubSpot.
In the contact profile
- Go to the CRM info section.
- View the contact’s status in HubSpot.
In the Cognism Chrome extension
- Open the extension on a contact profile.
- View the HubSpot status directly within the extension.
Access exported and synced contacts in HubSpot
To view exported contacts in HubSpot:
- Log in to HubSpot.
- Go to Contacts.
Exported or synced contacts will appear at the top of your contacts list.
To filter contacts you exported:
- Click My Contacts.
You will see only the contacts you exported from Cognism.
