How to integrate your email (Other - not Microsoft or Google Mail)

  • In Prospector, go to the profile icon in the top-right and select 'Settings'

  • Go to the ‘Integrations’ tab

 

  • Scroll down to the E-mail section and click 'Add' next to ‘Universal Email’

  • Enter your email address into the box

 

  • You will be prompted to choose your email provider. Here, choose 'Other'

 

  • Enter your email address and password, enter IMAP username and change the port number if necessary, enter SMTP username and port number if different.

These can usually be found by searching within your email settings i.e. on the Outlook desktop app, search ‘IMAP’, go to “POP and IMAP email settings for Outlook”, scroll down to “Find your IMAP or POP server settings” and see relevant information under IMAP, POP & SMTP in the table.

 

If you use mail.com and have IMAP/SMTP set up, it is typically imap.mail.com (example: imap.cognism.com) & smtp.mail.com

 

If you cannot find the information in settings or online, check with your IT or technical department

 

 

  • Press 'Sign In'

  • If you receive an error, please double check your settings with your IT team to confirm. Make sure the email and password are also correct.

  • Once your email is connected, you will receive a notification that your email was successfully added and you will see a green tick next to your email

 

 


 

  • To remove the integration, simply click ‘Remove’

 

  • Select ‘Yes, Delete’

 

  • A ‘Success’ message will show that the integration has been removed
