As described in the article about different Refresh services available in the Cognism app, in order to run a Manual Refresh service from Lead or Contact page layouts or lists, Cognism Refresh button should be added to Lead and Contact page layouts.
Add Cognism Refresh Button on Page Layouts
Click the settings cog and select Setup.

Use quick find to Search for Object Manager.

In the Object Manager page, search for lead using Quick Find.

Click Page Layouts in the Lead page.

Go to Buttons.

Drag down 3 buttons (Cognism Refresh, Restore Record, Show Cognism Data) into ‘Lead Detail’ – it will be highlighted green.

Click Mobile & Lightning Actions.

Drag and drop 3 quick actions (Cognism Refresh, Restore Record & Show Cognism Data) into Salesforce Mobile and Lightning Experience Actions. Cognism Refresh and Cognism Duplicate Data buttons have duplicate buttons available. Hover your pointer over the buttons and use the ones that specify quick action.


Click Save to save the configuration.
Add Cognism Refresh Button on List Views
Click on Search Layouts.

Next to Default Layout, click the downwards arrow and click Edit.

Scroll down to Custom Buttons. From the list of Available Buttons, select Cognism Refresh and click the add button to move it over to Selected Buttons. Click Save to save the configuration.

Click on Search Layouts for Salesforce Classic.

Next to List View, click the downwards arrow and click Edit.

Scroll down to Custom Buttons. From the list of Available Buttons, select Cognism Refresh and click the add button to move it over to Selected Buttons. Click Save to save the configuration.

Repeat the process to add the Cognism Refresh button to the Contact Object (Object Manager > Search Contact).
