How to integrate Cognism to Outreach

An admin user needs to first enable and set up the integration in the Cognism Web Platform (Prospector) before other users in the organization are able to use the integration. Once the admin user enables the integration, it becomes available for all users from your organization to log in to Outreach and utilise the Outreach integration capabilities both from Cognism Web Platform and Chrome Extension.

 

Once set up, the Outreach integration with Prospector allows for the bulk export of contacts into Outreach from Cognism Campaigns and Lists. It will also allow for the single export of contacts found using the Cognism Chrome extension.

 


Setting up the integration

  • Click the User Avatar at the top-right.

     

     

  • Click "Settings".

     

     

  • Click the Integrations icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

     

     

  • Navigate to the Outreach integration and click "Add".

     

     

  • After clicking 'Add', the admin user can enter Settings and for example change the default field mappings for Outreach integration. If the admin user wishes to log in and test Outreach integration features, same as any other user, they can click 'Log In'. Clicking 'Log In' will redirect you to the Outreach login page unless you are already logged in to Outreach.

     

  • If you are not logged in to Outreach, enter your sign in credentials.

     

  • Click "Next".

     

     

  • Click "Sign in" after entering your password.

     

     

  • You will then be redirected back to the Cognism web application where a message will pop-up indicating you have successfully logged in with Outreach.

     

     

  • To remove the integration, simply click "Remove".

Configuring additional Field Mapping settings

  • Additional Field Mapping settings can be configured by clicking the settings cog to the left of the 'Log Out' button.

     

     

  • Rules for duplicates can be selected under the General tab.

     

     

  • Rules for mappings can be set for when a Prospect or Account is being exported to Outreach. These can be accessed by clicking the Prospect or Account tab.

     

     

  • Additional custom mappings are available. These can also be accessed via the Prospect or Account tabs and is located below the Cognism mappings.

     

     

User Setup

Once the integration has been enabled by the admin, any user can log in to Outreach either through the Chrome Extension Options or through Cognism's Web Platform Settings. If you're logging in through Cognism's Web Platform Settings, here are the steps:

  • Click the User Avatar at the top-right.

     

     

  • Click "Settings".

     

     

  • Click the Integrations icon on the left-hand side of the screen.

     

     

  • Navigate to the Outreach integration and click 'Log In'. Clicking 'Log In' will redirect you to the Outreach login page unless you are already logged in to Outreach.

     

     

  • If you haven't previously logged in to Outreach, enter your sign in credentials.

     

  • Click "Next".

     

     

  • Click "Sign in" after entering your password.

     

     

  • You will then be redirected back to the Cognism web application where a message will pop-up indicating you have successfully logged in with Outreach.

     

  • To log out from the integration, simply click "Log Out".

 

How to Login from Cognism Chrome Extension

  • Click the Options cog at the top-right. A new tab will open.

  • Click Integrations and scroll down to Outreach.

 

  • Click Login and you will be redirected to the Outreach Login Page.
