Using the Dashboard Effectively

Overview

The Dashboard in Sales Companion is designed to give you a prioritized view of your accounts and recent activities. By reviewing your dashboard at the start of each day, you can quickly set your outreach priorities, monitor key account developments, and ensure your actions align with the latest real-time data.

Why Use The Dashboard?

  • Stay Informed at a Glance: The dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your currently assigned accounts. By reviewing it at the beginning of each day, you can set your priorities based on real-time data and start your outreach with confidence.

  • Focus on High-Priority Accounts: The Top Companies and Latest Signals sections help you identify which accounts have the most potential for engagement, allowing you to focus on those that are most likely to yield results.

  • Track Your Activity: Use the Recent Actions metric to keep an eye on your overall usage, helping you maintain consistent activity with your assigned companies.

Step 1. Understanding Dashboard Metrics

  • Assigned Companies: Displays the total number of companies currently assigned to you and ones that number that were recently assigned in the last 7 days.

  • Recent Actions: Shows the number of interactions you've logged in the Sales Companion Chrome Extension (e.g., exports, views), helping you track your level of engagement with accounts and contacts inside Companion.

  • Signals Overview: Reflects recent events, such as job changes, funding rounds, or acquisitions, across your accounts. This metric provides counts for recent signals both this week and last, so you can assess recent developments at a glance.

2. Company Recommendations

  • Top Companies to Engage: This section highlights the top three companies to prioritize each day. These recommendations are based on recent signals and engagement factors, allowing you to focus on accounts with the highest potential for interaction and conversion.

3. Leveraging Real-Time Signals

  • Latest Signals: Quickly browse recent updates across your assigned accounts, such as new funding, acquisitions, or leadership changes. These signals help you stay aware of significant developments and provide timely opportunities for engagement.

    • Signal Tips: Signals are sorted by date, showing you the most recent events at your assigned accounts. Regularly reviewing this section helps you spot key moments to reach out and ensures you stay informed on account changes without manual searching.

Step 4. Nothing In Your Dashboard?

If your dashboard is currently empty, it may be because no accounts have been assigned to you.

Here’s What You Can Do:

  • Check with Your Admin: Reach out to your team admin to ensure your account assignments and settings are correctly configured. They can help assign companies or contacts relevant to your role.

  • Explore Other Tabs: While your dashboard is empty, you can still explore the Companies tab or Browser tab to manually search and start gathering insights.

  • Claim Companies: If enabled you can also claim any company that you want to keep an eye on so that it can appear in your dashboard.

Summary

The Sales Companion Dashboard is designed to focus your efforts on the accounts and contacts that matter most. By understanding each metric, following daily recommendations, and monitoring key signals, you can increase efficiency and ensure that your outreach is timely and effective.

Tip: Start each day by reviewing your dashboard. The dashboard’s recommendations and signals give you a clear, data-driven view of where to focus your outreach and alert you to recent events that could open engagement opportunities.
