Intent data monitors the online behaviour of web users and tracks their content consumption, indicating what products and services they're interested in.
Intent data could help increase the response rate of outbound campaigns by targeting “warm” leads.

Selecting your Intent topics
Topics are selected by the Admin user at an Account level (topics that are selected by the admin will be available for all users in the account).
You can choose up to 12 topics and test them for 14 days. During this time, you can change the topics and see what works best for your team.
After the 14 day period, you are prompted to activate your topics. These topics can only be changed after 90 days.
Head over to the Intent tab or the Intent search category in the filter panel.
Click Edit and this will take you to a screen where you can choose 12 topics from the 11 000+ we have available.
Once you have chosen your topics, click Save Topics.

Adjust the slider to filter surge scores (this would filter results based on the strength of the intent signals).
Select either AND/OR to specify if you want companies surging in topic 1 AND topic 2 or topic 1 OR topic 2.
Filter Companies showing intent by their trend over the last 7 days.
New - the companies that have only recently started showing intent in a topic.
Increasing - companies that have had an increased intent in a topic over the last 7 days.
Decreasing - companies that have had a decreased intent in a topic over the last 7 days.
No change - the intent of the companies in selected topics have not changed in the last 7 days.
The Heatmap provides a colour coded insight into trending topics. Topics with higher scores are shown in red at the top of the heatmap. Clicking a topic from the heatmap will filter to only companies surging in that topic.
Select the accounts you wish to find contacts from and click Find Contacts. This will redirect you to the Prospector Tab where the active Intent topic and Surge Score filters can be applied to Company and Person searches.
Applying Intent filters in Search
Intent filters can be applied from Search by going to the Intent category in the search filter panel.
The same filters that are found in the Intent tab can be found here, with the exception of the heatmap. (See descriptions above)
When you are doing a Company Search, the results displayed have additional Intent specific details such as intent topics, score and trends.
Intent indicators in Search results
When a company is showing interest in one or more of your selected topics, an indicator will appear in your search result.
Hover over the indicator to view the topic and score.
When you expand a contact or company, there is also an Intent tab where you can view the intent details.
